The Angel Beer Festival 2005

Limited research on when the Angel was built reveals that it was public house, listed in Kelly's Directory of 1866, under the occupancy of a 'Thomas Akhurst',  but it is not shown on Ordnance Survey maps of 1869. This may however, be due to standards of accuracy at the time. It is not shown in Melville & Co's Directory of 1858.
